Two events!

William B. Becker, the collector who’s daguerreotypes comprise the exhibit Daguerre’s American Legacy at the MIT Museumwill lead a gallery talk on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 2:30-3:30 p.m. We are helping The Victorian Society to sponsor his trip to Boston and PHSNE members will be his guests for this event.

On a related note, Bill Becker’s talk at the Gibson House Museum,: Haunted Camera: Victorian Photographs of the Occult is happening that evening, Thursday, October 30, 2014, 6:00 p.m. reception, 6:30 p.m. lecture. The admission to this is $10 for members of either the Victorian Society or PHSNE, $15 for the general public.
Both of these events occur in rather limited spaces and admission will be on a first come, first served basis. For the Haunted Camera talk, an RSVP would be the best bet: please e-mail or call the Gibson House at info@thegibsonhouse.org, or 617-872-9001–please address RSVP’s to Michelle.
