Camera Eccentric is the work of a couple of dedicated photographers and gear-heads, Seth and Laura Broder, who have carefully scanned in so many old catalogues of camera gear that the site has become a go-to place for anyone who wants to find information about their antique lenses, cameras and equipment. There is also a “for sale” section of the site, and the word among folks who know them is that the Broders have good stuff.
They took some time away from the site , but it seems that they are back. PHSNE takes its collective hat off to people like the Broders, who do a great service to the camera collecting community. As they say on their home page:
What started as a hobby, while still in college, has now become our driving force. This business is fueled by the personal pleasure we receive from using vintage large format cameras and lenses.
Over time we realized our true passion and greatest satisfaction comes from providing interesting gems and educating others. We hope to aid photographers in using these tools for their own artistic expression; creating beautiful photographs for future generations to behold.
