Daniel Picano called this afternoon to give us a chance to get in on a pretty interesting photo opportunity. I told him that, while we are not the average camera club and seldom schedule shooting sessions, I was pretty sure that some of our members would love to have a chance to shoot inside Fenway and to talk to the official Red Sox photographer about sports photography. It’s too short a notice for us to organize a PHSNE field trip, but anyone is welcome to contact him and get on board–it looks like a fun night! Here is his email with the details:
I am reaching out in regards to our first ever Photography Night at Fenway Park! This night is every photographers dream! It includes an intricate tour of Fenway Park (Green Monster, Field Access, and other photo opportunities) a Q&A with Michael Ivins, the Official Photographer of the Boston Red Sox, and a ticket to the game following our Photography Night itinerary!
I wanted to speak with you about this, as we have allocated about 200-300 tickets to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity here at Fenway Park. I would like to extend an invitation to the Photographic Historical Society of New England in joining us on this special evening.
When: September 24th, 2014
At $40 per person, you can enjoy the tour, insight from our Q&A, as well as the baseball game vs. the Tampa Bay Rays!
